My favourite character in the entire series is Rei. Why? Truth is I'm not sure myself. For some reason or other I seem drawn to her. She doesn't have to say anything for me to like her and she is very quiet but when she speaks... I was really saddened by what happened to her in the movie.

In truth the parts of the show that really appeal to me are not the fighting action scenes but the way in which the characters react to each other, the way they get on each other's nerves and all the funny side shows that you see here and there. Like the part when Shiji saw Pen Pen that first time :) I guess it's the humour of this show amidst everything that really drew me to draw a conclusion about the characters. Like quite a number of anime however, the conclusion was a bit weak.
