Analysis:
Kaji seems to hold an important position in the dealings of NERV but one never gets to know what his job there really is. He is one of the german team that trained Asuka Langley and when EVA-02 was taken to Japan he accompanied the transfer operation. During his time attending college Kaji met Ritsuko and Misato. It seems as if he had a relationship with Misato once.
